Historic Tuckahoe Spring Micro-Wedding
Morgan and Troy’s micro-wedding at Historic Tuckahoe in Richmond, Virginia was literal intimate wedding goals and fulfilled all of my photography dreams! For those of you that have been following for awhile you know that intimate weddings are my absolute favorite so when Morgan and Troy hired me, I was SO excited when I learned more about their plans.
My favorite parts of the day…
First of all, I am a HUGE historic homes lover (literally in my free time something I do is tour historic homes) and I was SO very excited when I learned that Morgan and Troy were getting married at Historic Tuckahoe which was Thomas Jefferson’s boyhood home. For Morgan’s getting ready photos, we got to shoot in the main house and some of the rooms we got to shoot in were just exquisite with all of the history and old decor.
The ceremony site was unreal. It took place in one of the gardens where Morgan, Troy and their guests were surrounded by tall trees. It was truly so beautiful.
Historic Tuckahoe is literally made for wedding photographers. There were so many amazing places to shoot all over the property between the houses, gardens and other outdoor areas. It was so nice having a variety of great spots to take Morgan and Troy’s portraits throughout the day.
Intimate garden dinner party anyone? Troy, Morgan and their 20 guests had an intimate candlelit dinner under a large garden trellis at one big long table. Aside from that, a lot of Morgan’s family is vegetarian and vegan so they had a catered vegan dinner (which as a vegan I was totally thrilled about) and the food was amazing.
Morgan and Troy’s micro-wedding at Historic Tuckahoe was such a dream to photograph and I hope to come back some day soon to do more photos there!
