Denver Intimate Wedding & Elopement Photography

A wedding photography experience that HIGHLY encourages you to fully show up, be present AF, and live your best life on one of the most important moments of your love story!

Hot take coming right at ya from our team!

Sometimes we all need a little reminder to live in the moment and be fully present (especially times when it matters most… cough, cough the day you get married!). Look, our team TOTALLY gets that this can be a high pressure day and there is a lot going on but don’t let that deter you from enjoying YOUR day, YOUR way (more emphasis on the word “YOUR” please because for once, it’s really all about you and if no one else is already giving you permission to be “selfish” on your wedding day we are!).

When you look back on your wedding day, our team wants you to remember that you actually got to enjoy the day and celebrate your love in a way that truly honors your love story. We don’t want you to be fixating on all the little details… We want you to focus on the big picture which is having the BEST DAY EVER whether you are having a big ol’ wedding with all your family and friends, a micro-wedding with just your closest loved ones or an intimate elopement with just the two of you!!!

Leading up to your wedding or elopement, our team will work closely with you to really learn what you value most when it comes to your wedding and photos you will receive back from us. And as someone who just loves planning (seriously we can’t get enough of it), we can pinky swear to you our team will have every single last detail planned to a tee so there is nothing to stress about when it comes to photography on the big day. Our team will be there to capture your joy and whatever this monumental chapter of your love story looks like for you. This is YOUR day and the pictures you get back from our team in your final gallery will honor that.

Wedding Photography FAQs

+ HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING OR ELOPEMENT?

For weddings, most couples on average book our team out 6 months to a year and a half in advance. When it comes to elopements, it really depends… Some couples book our team literally just weeks out if it’s something smaller and more simple while others book up to 6 months to a year in advance for more involved elopements. Our team books on a first-come, first-serve basis. We recommend booking us as soon as you have a date and venue/location and can payour 50% non-refundable retainer to ensure you have us for the date you need.

+ WILL YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDING AND ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY?

Brooke is based out of Denver but will gladly photograph wherever you need her to go! She absolutely LOVE to travel (who doesn’t?!). Over the past couple years, Brooke has shot in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, North Carolina, New Jersey, Delaware, Rhode Island, Texas and Pennsylvania. If you are interested in learning more about what traveling entails for our team, send me an inquiry.

+ ARE YOU INCLUSIVE AND DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH LGBTQ+ COUPLES?

Yes, yes, 100% yes! Our team believes love is love and that it would be absolutely ridiculous for anyone to work in the wedding industry that doesn't truly believe that and is not willing to serve ALL couples in love! Our team is LGBTQ+ affirming and believes Black Lives Matter. We will never discriminate based on gender, race, ability, sexual orientation, or one’s personal beliefs.

+ HOW MANY HOURS DO COUPLES BOOK ON AVERAGE FOR WEDDINGS & ELOPEMENTS WITH YOU?

When deciding how long you need a wedding or elopement photographer for, factor in these things. How much time do you want to dedicate to each part of the day? What parts of the day are important for you to be captured? Do you want your photographer to stay the whole night? Is there a lot of travel between your venue, getting ready space and ceremony space? On average, our team finds 8 hours of coverage works best for most couples planning weddings unless there is a lot of travel between locations involved or they have a wedding day that is more condensed. For elopements, depending on what your day looks like and how much coverage you need we find 2 hours of coverage works great!

+ WHAT IF YOU HAVE NEVER SHOT AT MY VENUE OR LOCATION BEFORE?

Trust us, shooting at a new venue or location is no big deal to our team (or honestly any other experienced photographer)! For all our weddings, our team arrives a little bit early just to get a feel for the space, scout out locations for portraits and get a feel for the light. Brooke also does research on your venue beforehand so she is prepared or she can pass on information to prepare the team member capturing your wedding. For elopements that are more on the adventurous side, Brooke does a lot of planning and research of her own beforehand for location scouting and aquiring permits. No need to worry, your photos are going to be AMAZING!

+ WHEN CAN WE EXPECT OUR PHOTOS AND HOW MANY DO WE RECEIVE?

It takes Brooke up to 6 weeks to deliver final galleries for weddings and elopements but she always post previews on IG and sends our team's couples some previews to hold them over. Trust us, we know waiting is the worst so we work as diligently as possible to make sure we can to get you your photos ASAP! While Brooke can’t promise you an exact amount of photos you will receive, on average she delivers between 50-100 edited images per hour. You will for sure get more if your package includes a second shooter or your choose to add one! Brooke never caps the amount of photos that she sends and will include all photos that are well exposed, well composed and not duplicates.

+ SHOULD WE ADD ON A SECOND SHOOTER?

Great news, all wedding packages with 8 hours of coverage and up include a second shooter! If your package does not include a second shooter it really depends on a few things for deciding if you need a second shooter. Our team recommends to our couples with over 120 guests to consider adding one on because with so many people and things happening, we might miss out on capturing something cool because we are focusing on something else. We definitely recommend considering adding one if in the beginning of your wedding you and your partner are getting ready in different locations and/or are not doing a first look so you can each have a photographer with you. And lastly, if you want more photos adding one is a no brainer!

+ DO YOU RECOMMEND DOING AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

In our team's professional opinion, yes! Most of our couples we find are initially nervous about being in front of a camera. An engagement session is a great time to get acquainted with how our team will work with you so once your wedding day rolls around, you feel comfortable and know what to expect. Also you will have more photos of you and your partner together as a couple (who doesn’t want that?)! And as an extra added bonus, you will have photos to use for save the dates and wedding decor if you choose!

+ ARE YOU INSURED AND A VALID BUSINESS?

Brooke Silverman Photography LLC is a valid business and Brooke is happy to send proof of insurance if your venue needs it! For couples planning weddings PLEASE make sure that all of your vendors are valid businesses and have insurance to keep yourselves safe!

+ DO YOU DO EXTENSIVE PHOTOSHOP WORK ON BODIES?

Our team is made up of HUGE body positivity and body acceptance advocates. Our philosophy is that real is better than perfect and a photoshopped body is not real looking or honors your body in the slightest. If you are wanting your body to appear different in photos than how you appear in real life, we are definitely not the photographers for you. The only time we do "extensive" editing (that is not even really extensive) is getting rid of small blemishes, skin discoloration and distracting objects in the background. Additional more extensive edits to images cost $50 per file and are sent out to professional editors.
