Sunset Surprise Proposal at City Park in Denver Colorado
We planned Ander and Kayli’s surprise proposal at City Park in less than a week to spare and it went off without a hitch! Ander decided that he was going to pop the question to Kayli when they were on vacation in Denver visiting Kayli’s family. Kayli and Ander are both from Florida and met one night when they had to share a uber home from a bar and have been inseparable ever since. On the day of the proposal, Ander and Kayli were hanging out with Kayli’s family in Denver and at the end of the day they decided to go to City Park. Ander snuck Kayli away for a few minutes from the family and took her to a quite place on the lake and popped the question. And of course she said yes!
If you are looking for a great spot for a surprise proposal in downtown Denver, City Park is the perfect choice! City Park is very large and has many spots for surprise proposals. It has 2 large lakes, multiple fields for sports, monuments, a statuary and contains the Denver Zoo and Denver Museum of Nature and Science. There is also plenty of free parking in the park (which is a MAJOR plus for a park in the city). For Ander’s surprise proposal to Kayli, we picked the larger lake with a large pavilion, city line and mountains in the background. The sun sets behind the mountains and because of this, if there is a prominent sunset the day of your proposal you will get the most beautiful golden sunset (which we did). City Park is also a really nice place to propose because even though it can be crowded at times there is still SO much space so its easy to capture the moment and portraits after without worrying about people in the background.
