Senior Photography FAQs

+ WHEN SHOULD WE SCHEDULE WITH YOU?

Typically, for high school your Senior Portraits are taken the summer before your Senior year. For those who are undergrads, getting their master, doctorate and law degrees, usually it's the spring or fall of your graduating year. I book on a first come, first serve basis. I recommend reaching out to book me as soon as you have an idea of when and where you would like to book so we can get you on my calendar and can pay my 50% non refundable retainer to make things official.

+ WILL YOU TRAVEL FOR SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHY?

I am based out of Denver but I will gladly go wherever you need me to go! I absolutely LOVE to travel (I mean, who doesn’t?!). Over the past couple years, I have shot in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, North Carolina, New Jersey, Delaware, Rhode Island, Texas and Pennsylvania. + ARE YOU AN INCLUSIVE PHOTOGRAPHER AND LGBTQIA+ FRIENDLY?

Yes, yes, 100% yes! I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and believe Black Lives Matter. I will never discriminate based on gender, race, ability, sexual orientation, or one’s personal beliefs. Everybody deserves to celebrate their senior year and graduating!

+ WHAT IS A SENIOR PARTY MINI MARATHON?

My senior party mini marathons are the perfect opportunity for seniors who want to celebrate senior year and graduation by getting photos with their friends. We do some group photos of everyone together and each participant gets 30 mins of coverage and gets to choose their top 20 favorite images for their final gallery.

+ HOW LONG ARE SENIOR SESSIONS WITH YOU?

I offer three options for coverage. Option 1 is one hour of coverage. Option 2 is two hours of coverage for those who would like an extended session. Option 3 is 30 minutes of coverage per person for seniors who book my senior party mini marathon sessions with their friends.

**+ CAN I BRING ANY OF MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS TO MY SENIOR SESSION? **

Absolutely! You are more than welcome to bring them as long as you are comfortable with them being there. They can even jump in some pictures with you if you would like. I only ask that if they are just observing to be respectful of our shoot and not do anything to distract you since I need you to be fully present when doing your portraits. No cell phone photos or video will be allowed on their end as well just so I can have your full attention for the shoot.

+ WHAT DO WE WEAR FOR A SENIOR SESSION WITH YOU?

Upon booking, I will send you my portrait photography style guide that will help you with choosing an outfit for yourself. Of course you can always message me as well if you need some extra help deciding. I also recommend you bring your cap and gown or rent one so we can snap a few shots of you in that.

+ HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET OUR FINAL GALLERY AND HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE RECEIVE?

For final galleries, it can take up to 2 weeks for portrait sessions. However, to give you a sneak peak, I will send you some previews within 72 hours to hold you over and I’ll make a post on Instagram. I try to edit in a very timely manner cause I know waiting forever for photos you are super stoked to see is the worst! While I can't provide an exact number from a shoot she can promise that you will receive, on average I deliver 80-110 images for an hour of coverage. I never cap the number of images that I deliver or withhold any images. I will always deliver all the images that are well composed, well exposed and not duplicates of other images.

+ DO YOU DO EXTENSIVE PHOTOSHOP WORK ON BODIES?

My team and I are HUGE body positivity and body acceptance advocates. Our philosophy is that real is better than perfect and a photoshopped body is not real looking or honors your body in the slightest. If you are coming into a shoot with us wanting your body to appear different then how you appear in real life, we are definitely not the photographers for you. The only time we do "extensive" editing (that is not even really extensive) is getting rid of small blemishes, skin discoloration and distracting objects in the background. Additional more extensive edits to images cost $20 per file and are sent out to professional editors.
